Charlotte, N.C. Map

Here's a map I did recently for Charlotte Magazine, for a feature story about how good and bad planning decisions have impacted the city and its future. Fitting a large amount of information that spans a wide geographic area into one spread was a challenge, but I was game for a good one. Keeps the ol' brain cells flexible.

I love the way you design maps. These are the kind of maps I would study for hours as a kid. I also love having maps at the beginning of books, so I can go back and reference them while I'm reading. Do you do alot of those?

Thank you, all! :-)

Valerie-- Yes, I've done a number of book maps. And I agree with you-- I love to go back and forth between story and map, too. It enriches the book experience, I think.
